Led by Gus Ulrich (PGA), one of the most respected players [winner of numerous CPGA Events including two NC Opens, the Section Championship and the Carolinas Open] and teachers in the Carolinas PGA Section, – and his staff of qualified PGA professionals, The Pinewild Golf academy focuses on creating consistency via the fundamentals of golf.

One, Two and Four day schools are available March – October.  "Short Game Only" and "Playing Schools" are also available for golfers looking to fine tune specific components of their games.  All schools can be arranged with lodging (Marriot Springhill Suites) or commuter and include, a take home video, and a written full swing evaluation.

Pinewild also plays host to Nike Junior Camps which are available June – July and are a wonderful way for kids to learn the fundamentals and improve their games.  Two sessions of the Junior Camp are conducted each year.  The junior camps are available to young golfers age 10 – 17.  All Nike students receive Nikes instruction manual, take home video and a written full swing evaluation from the Pinewild Golf academy staff. 

The Players Schools are available throughout the year to PGA Members and Apprentices.

Pinewild Golf Academy also offers a wide range of private or group lessons, lesson series and clinics.

Teaching Philosophy

Many golf schools and instructors attempt to teach golf to people. Our approach to instruction is to put people - like you - first. The teaching philosophy has endured  because our system is anchored in the belief that we teach people... to play golf.

The difference is more than one of semantics. When attending a school at Pinewild, your game is individually evaluated and, while emphasizing the basic principles of golf, we tailor our instruction to meet your individual needs. More specifically, we relate the dynamics of the golf swing in an understandable manner and we explain how these fundamental laws apply to your specific swing.
