TENNIS/PICKLEBALL COURT USAGE RULES
Weather permitting, the Courts are open all year.
Hours of Operation: 8:00 a.m. through 10:00 pm. The upper courts break 12:30 pm through 1:30 pm for maintenance, with the lower courts breaking from 1:30 pm through 2:30 pm. Please observe the posted signs which explain the Open/Closed status of the courts.
If the courts are closed, we do not expect any play on the courts what so ever. If there is any doubt as to whether the courts are open or closed, please call 910.295.5677 or 910.295.5145 and ask a staff member or click HERE. Should the need arise, this site will be updated throughout the day better explain current tennis court and pool conditions.
Dress Code: Proper tennis/pickleball attire is required at all times. This includes appropriate footwear to ensure that the courts are not damaged, as well as for the safety of the participants. Footwear must be of the “herringbone tread” variety, which are suitable for clay courts. Please ensure that you relay this information to any guests that may accompany you.
Court Reservations: Individual play on the courts is on a first-come-first-serve basis. However, there are times when organized tennis is scheduled, during which time, the courts are reserved.
We do respectfully request that singles limit their playing time to one and one half hours, with doubles limiting their playing time to two hours.
Any and all League, Team or Inter-club play must be scheduled in advance with Club Management.
Court Fees: Full, Club and Leisure Members, and their accompanied grandchildren, may enjoy the facilities at no charge. Accompanied guests may use the tennis or pickleball facilities for a daily fee of fifteen (15) dollars per person. The Tennis/Pickleball Fee must be paid, and is payable in the Golf Shop to one of the golf shop attendants.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL MEMBERS AND THEIR GUESTS MUST REGISTER WITH THE GOLF SHOP PRIOR TO ENTRY AND/OR PLAY ON THE COURTS…
After being notified, the Golf Shop staff will record all players on the courts, as well as collect any guest fees which are due.
For the “organized groups” which are registered with the Club, a form identifying all the players and any guest fees must be turned into the Golf Shop after the group has completed play…this form can be found HERE.
For any member who has plans to play on the court in the evening after the Golf Shop has closed, please notify the Shop [during business hours] of your plans to play on that particular evening [via telephone…910.295.5145]
Thanks for your assistance in this matter…It is important that management has accurate usage numbers related to the courts…this to understand true usage and allocate assets accordingly.
